Chill out with Iced-Tea this summer!
With summer on its way, North Americans love to cool off by drinking iced tea to quench their thirsty paletes.
Iced tea is very popular in Vancouver and North America and world wide, it can be prepared hours prior and is proven to be a delicious alternative to juice and soda pop. It takes very little preparation and is a natural choice which can be drank plain or spruced up with different fresh fruit.
Iced tea was first discovered by a Commissioner of Tea for India at the St. Louis World’s Fair in 1904. Richard Blechynden was the director of the East Indian Pavilion and had prepared some samples of hot tea for the fair attendees but observed that no one was willing to sample them and it was unusually a warm day. Most of the fair goers were seeking the coldest drinks possible and Mr. Blechynden concocted an idea of cooling down his hot tea and offering an alternative, the crowd loved it and that was the beginning of what we know today as iced tea.
Iced tea can be purchased in Vancouver and North America in many ways, powder or liquid mix from grocery stores, tea bars, coffee shops, tea bags, and loose-leaf form. Many people like the cool and tasty sensation but are conscientious with some of the unhealthy ingredients that are commonly added to many brands of iced tea. Also, people that suffer from diabetes must be careful of their sugar intake and Tealicious Tea Company’s iced tea has no sugar content in it.
As a tea lover, I fancy searching for high quality tea and creating tasty, refreshing choices that will cool you down during our North American sunny summertime.
More and more, people are turning to loose leaf iced tea because of the delicious range of flavors and the fact that loose leaf tea has a fuller, richer and natural flavor, and is usually a much higher quality.
We package our iced teas in airtight tins, which keep the leaves fresh and ensures the best tea-riffic flavour.
Our new iced tea arrivals are:
Fruity Fiesta, a tropical fruity green tea with a wonderful after taste which makes a delicious iced tea.
Organic Raspberry Honeybush has an incredible fresh raspberry flavor, great drink on a hot day.
Cranberry White Tea has delightful cranberry notes and a wonderful fruity aroma.
If you want to enjoy the summer sun buy your thirst quenching iced tea now!
