Rooibos Lavender Mint Tea
½ tsp (2ml) dried lavender flowers
½ tsp (2ml) Rooibos
2 Tbsp (30 ml) fresh mint leaves
1 cup (250 ml) boiling water
Honey to taste
In a teapot, combine the lavender flowers, Rooibos leaves and mint. Pour boiling water over the mixture. Steep for 10 minutes. Serve hot or chilled
Rooibos Party Tea
2 cups (500ml) 100% cranberry juice
1 cup (250ml) Rooibos tea, brewed
1 cup (250ml) apple juice
In a saucepan, or crockpot, combine all ingredients. Over medium heat warm and serve. Serves 4.
Rooibos Barbeque Sauce
15.5 ounce (156ml) can tomato paste
½ cup (125ml) Rooibos tea, brewed
½ cup (125ml) molasses
1 tsp (5ml) liquid smoke
½ tsp (2ml) cinnamon
½ tsp (2ml) allspice
2 cloves garlic pressed
2Tbsp (30ml) tamari soy sauce
1Tbsp (15ml) balsamic vinegar
Pinch cayenne
In a medium bowl, mix together the tomato paste, molasses, and Rooibos tea. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Serves well with tofu, meats, veggie burgers or kebobs. Keep well refrigerated.
