London’s 2012 Olympics
In just 30 days London’s 2012 Olympics will begin. It will be an excellent way to engage students and people all around the world learn about the history of London and to watch the athletes participate.
London hosted the Olympic game in 1908 and 1948 so this is their third time to entertain such a notable event.
The 2012 Summer Olympic Games will be held in London from July 27 to August 12 2012, followed by the 2012 Paralympic Games from August 29 to September 9.
The Olympics will let 205 nations take part in 300 events and 147 nations will participate in the Paralympics Games.
The world will be watching and hoping their favorite athletes will bring home gold, bronze or silver medals. No doubt, while their eyes are focused, I am sure they will be sipping a cup of Kensington Palace or English Breakfast decaffeinated or English Breakfast regular tea to truly be a part of London. In the last moment as the 2012 Olympics close, I will be sitting, sipping and saying the jolly English expressions “pip pip, cheerio and toddleloo” until the 2014 Winter Olympic games begin in Sochi, Russia and then I shall pour a cup of my favorite, Russian Caravan.
