Chai Tea

Chai tea has become a very popular drink in the past few years. It was originally created in India centuries ago but now has become very common in North America. Consumers are drinking a lot more of this wonderful tea as the awesome health benefits are well worth it.

Chai tea contains spices that are connected to various healing functions. Cloves, ginger, nutmeg, black pepper, cinnamon, and other assorted spices all have unique benefits. Ginger is particularly beneficial as a cold remedy, stimulating circulation and acting as an antiseptic; cloves fiery-spicy taste can calm the mind and alleviate pain; nutmeg helps chronic lung conditions and cleans toxins from the liver.

East Indians make Chai tea by simmering over the fire in whole milk, adding spices, black tea and leaving the flavour ferment.
